The Electric Ladyboys

Few bands in history can be said to have achieved true cult status. Locally, the Electric Ladyboys have achieved just this.

Consisting of Tom (drums), Shim (bass) and Hally (guitar), vocals are shared by the power trio as they rocket through Hendrix, rock and blues covers. Now operating as three fifths of the Deadbeats, Electric Ladyboys gigs are a rare occurence in these times, but keep your ears peeled, as they say, you can't keep a good ladyboy down!

To list venues played by the Ladyboys would be a long and pointless task, but it is safe to say that wherever live music is heard and enjoyed, this band may more than likely have trod the stage and rocked harder than anyone else.

A neat line in onstage patter, accompanied by Hally's scatalogical sense of humour means that whenever you find yourself in a pub and up onstage there are three gorgeous ladyboys girating with their instruments, you know you're in for a treat!

Behind the theatrics lie three superb musicians playing like their lives depended on it, a band never to be missed and always ready to surprise. With their amps turned to eleven and their nipples exposed to the day, we salute the Electric Ladyboys, long may they entertain!

Check out the pictures for a taste of what you can expect. Hopefully, we can persuade them to lend their talents to the playlist in the future. Keep listening!
