Devil 2 Pay

Devil 2 Pay are a four piece rock band based in the Blackpool, Lancashire, area.

In their first incarnation, Devil 2 Pay were two guitarists and a bassist who got together once a week to jam, write and learn together. Around a year later, a drummer was found and in November 2002 the band as we know it was fully formed and into the studio and, as they say, nobody looked back!

Looking to tour as much of the UK as possible and break into the music scene on a national basis, we can see that Devil 2 Pay are going to be a band worth watching in the future, having already covered a lot of ground on the road in the last couple of years.

The band are made up of four members:

Rick (bass and lead vocals) influenced by Black Sabbath, Incubus, Metallica, Greenday, Pitchshifter and countless others. Rick has a wide range of musical influences, but draws the line at anything to do with house / techno.

Jay (rhythm guitar and vocals) is influenced by Metallica, Megadeth, Deftones, Silverchair and many more. His musical tastes extend to anything that is thrashy.

Phill (lead guitar) is influenced by the more classic rock sounds of Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and Queen, moving into much darker realms of modern rock with bands such as Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth.

Nelly (drums) favours more heavy sounding bands such as Iron Maiden, Van Halen, Slayer, Pantera and many more.

All four members of the band share in writing duties, contributing lyrics and musical pieces. Check out our Listen Live section to hear four tracks from this up and coming rock n roll outfit.
