Addiction are one of Blackpool's hottest young bands and also one of the most well known. Veterans of jam nights and their own headlining gigs this three piece have set their sites on conquering the local and national music scene.

In their own words, Addiction -

Addiction formed just under 2 years ago in the late summer of 2002. They began as just brothers Wil (guitar/vocals) and Dan (drums) practicing together in their small garage at home. Both were still studying but both had a love for music. They soon realised that they wanted to form some sort of arrangement to show off their talents. This is where Wil's best friend from school came in.
Tom, who Wil had known for a good few years, had never played a musical instrument in his life. Wil forced him to get a Bass Guitar for his birthday, and he did. He is now a very accomplished, self taught Bass Guitarist. All three of the band gel very well together and they now all practice in an outbuilding at Tom's house.

Wil and Dan have played together from the very beginning, they have similar tastes in music and some individual ideas which merge together with Toms to make the music they are writing today.

They are influenced all the way from early punk, such as The Clash, Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks and The Vibrators right up to modern punk and pop-punk such as Green Day, Blink 182, Rancid and NOFX. To name but a few: Rage Against The Machine, Funeral For A Friend, Story Of The Year, Thrice, Queens Of The Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Less Than Jake and even Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix will also pop up if you ask any of them.

After playing together for this time the guys have all grown to be a well oiled music machine! They have a few of their own numbers under their belt (all self written) and a number of covers they like to do from time to time. They have began playing the circuits locally in their hometown of Blackpool and the surrounding areas and are expecting bigger and brighter things in the very near future.
